Lynn Hartmann

Hi, my name is Lynn Hartmann and I am a 4th grade teacher. This will be my 13th year teaching, all of them at Kenton. I have taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. It’s hard for me to pick a favorite subject, since I like them all, but if I had to choose one, it would be science. I love teaching children to explore the world around them and figure out how things work. I enjoy spending time with my family in the mountains. I especially enjoy spending time with my niece, Amy who is starting High School this year. In my free time, I enjoy bike riding, gardening, reading, drawing and painting. A few things I am excited about this year is building student leadership and working with a great new team of teachers. My job is to accelerate learning for every APS student, every day. I do my job by creating an environment where students can take risks and learn from their attempts. I provided equitable instruction by differentiating my instruction to meet student needs. I also provide inquiry based instruction where students explore various questions and provide evidence-based answers. My community needs me to do my job.
